Adding Non-Academic Events to the Planner

Helium lets you add events like study sessions, concerts, appointments, and anything else you need to block out time for in your schedule. Unlike assignments, events are not attached to a class, are ungraded, and won’t appear in the Todos view.

How to Add an Event

Note: The Assignment/Event toggle appears only once you have at least one class. Until then, every Planner item is created as an Event and no toggle is shown. After you add a class, the form defaults to Assignment and you use the toggle to switch to Event.

  1. Open the Planner
  2. Click on a day or time slot, or click the + button
  3. In the top-right corner of the form, click the Event icon in the toggle (the right side of the two-icon toggle) to switch to Event mode
  4. Enter your event details
  5. Click Save
