Using Resources to Track Study Materials

The Resources screen lets you track textbooks, software, websites, and any other study materials associated with your classes. Resources are organized into Resource Groups — for example, you could group them by term, category, etc.

Use the group dropdown at the top of the screen to switch between Resource Groups, or select Show All to view all resources at once.

Creating a Resource Group

  1. Open Resources
  2. Click the + button to create a new group
  3. Enter a Title for the group (e.g., “Spring 2026 Materials”, “Textbooks”, “Links”)
  4. Optionally check Hide this group’s resources from Planner if you don’t want them displayed on your Planner
  5. Click Save

Adding a Resource

  1. Select a Resource Group from the list, or select Show All
  2. Click the + button to add a resource
  3. Fill in the resource details:
    • Group — the Resource Group the resource belongs to (required). This is set to whatever Resource Group you’re currently viewing. If currently viewing Show All, then this must be set manually. Changing this field on an existing resource moves the resource to the newly selected group.
    • Title — the name of the resource (required)
    • Classes — classes this resource is associated with
    • Website — a URL for the resource (e.g., a publisher page, textbook, or link to an online app or tool)
  4. Click Save

Resources and Hidden Class Groups

If a class belongs to a Class Group that’s been hidden (via Hide this group’s classes and assignments from the Planner and Resources on the group), that class stops appearing in two places: the linked-class chips shown on the resource’s card in the Resources list, and the Classes field (along with its selected-class chips) when adding or editing that resource. The resource-to-class association isn’t removed — it’s just not shown while the group is hidden, and it reappears automatically once you un-hide the group. See Setting Up and Managing Classes for more on hiding a Class Group.
