Switching from iStudiez Pro to Helium

iStudiez Pro is no longer being actively maintained. Its calendar sync still works today, but once iStudiez’s cloud servers go offline, there’s no way to pull your schedule back out.

Export Your iStudiez Pro Data Before It Shuts Down

iStudiez Pro publishes your schedule as a calendar feed that lives on iStudiez’s own cloud servers.

  1. In iStudiez Pro, open Settings / Preferences → Sync and sign in to your iStudiez Cloud account (if you aren’t already).
  2. Open Settings / Preferences → Calendars, enable the calendar option, then open Advanced and copy the Calendar URL.
  3. Add that URL to a calendar you control — in Google Calendar, use Add calendar → From URL; in Apple Calendar, use File → New Calendar Subscription.
  4. Export that calendar to an .ics file from Google or Apple Calendar and save it somewhere you’ll find it again — you’ll hand this file to the AI assistant in the next step.

Important: The Calendar URL only works while iStudiez’s cloud is running. Export it now — once iStudiez shuts down, there’s no way to retrieve it.

A calendar export carries your class schedule and assignment due dates. Grades, GPA, and credit hours don’t travel in a calendar file — re-enter those in Helium as the term goes on.

Bring Your Schedule into Helium

The fastest way to get an existing schedule into Helium is the AI-assisted import. You hand your source material to any modern AI assistant, it produces a Helium import file, and you upload that file to Helium.

  1. Follow the AI-assisted syllabus import steps in Where to Start with Helium.
  2. When the assistant asks for your source material, attach the .ics file you saved above — or simply paste your list of classes, meeting times, and assignments.
  3. Answer its follow-up questions, download the import file it produces, and import it under Settings → Import / Export.
